8" x 8" Print designed after our original geometric oil on canvas:
"Park in the City" (Tribute to Hans Hofmann)

As an Artist, constantly seeking inspiration and beauty from other artist , few have had as much impact on me as German artist, Hans Hofmann! His ability to challenge the visual senses and imagination of his viewers, with bold colors and shapes has encouraged and fired my imagination as well!In this piece I imagine a city, ultra modern, with all square footage of its downtown being partitioned full for modern buildings, with this Green little park struggling to maintain its own presence as the urban sprawl crawls closer and closer to it! This is a reflection on my sadness and worry that cities here in Western Washington and around the world are seeing the death of Green spaces of healthy plants, and trees, habitat for wild life being swallowed up by greedy urban developers, eliminating more and more of our parks and places to recreate and relax with our families . My small cry against it! I hope by viewers and collectors enjoy and imagine themselves in this green little park on a sunny warm afternoon with their lover, and or family!
